SUPERNATURAL EVANGELISM

1Cor.2:1-2KJV
And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

The most effective evangelism is that done with absolute dependence on the
Holy Spirit, and not the eloquence of speech. The gospel is beyond self motivation, it's like coming to a Kingdom, to enjoy the power of the King you have got to submit your self to the King, you need to encounter the Kingdom power.

Like bro Paul said to the Corinthian church, for us to see the
power of God in manifestation, then we must be ready to put our eloquence aside and
resolve to know nothing beside Christ and his power which he promised to make available unto us.

Keys to supernatural evangelism

1)The first key to experiencing
signs and wonders in evangelism is the baptism of the Holy Ghost. We receive the Holy Ghost in two different measures. The first is at the new birth experience and the second measure is the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

The new birth experience happens when a man receives Christ as his lord and savior, at this the
Spirit of God come to indwell him, and subsequently, his attitude is transformed because of the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.

John
20:22-23KJV:
And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

Jesus also referred to this experience as well of living water when he witnessed to the woman of
Samaria at the well side. the water here refer to eternal life that we receive when we accept Christ, but this life is imparted into us by the Holy Spirit, who makes his abode in us.

John 4:14KJV:

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

The second measure in which we receive the Holy Spirit is the
baptism of the Holy Spirit. This the Holy Spirit coming upon a man for empowerment, this is a vital key to success in ministry, in fact one should not launch out into ministry without this experience, for it is the commissioning of a man by God, even Jesus waited for this before his ministry in Matt.3:16.

Luke 24:49KJV:

And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Despite the given commission to go and preach his kingdom, he instructed the disciples to tarry, that is to wait intently until they are endued with the power from high. 'Endued' is from the Greek word 'enduo' which means to be clothed upon, so Jesus was saying that the disciples should not set out until they are clothed upon with Power, that is the Holy Spirit. This was the same experience Elisha had when Elijah casted his mantle upon him in 1Kings
19:19, this was appointment into the ministry for Elisha.

By 2Kings 2:13, after Elijah had been taken up, Elisha knew what to do with the mantle, which is a symbol of the anointing, and being futuristic of the Holy Spirit upon believers.

John 7:38-39KJV:

He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

The baptism of the Holy Spirit makes in us rivers of living water, this is living water in an immeasurable quantity, as we all know that a well can not be compared to river, therefore the new birth experience can not be compared to the baptism experience, even though the new birth is the first step, it gives a taste of what we are yet to experience.

Just as Jesus promised, the Holy Spirit came on the
day of Pentecost upon the believers and he is here to abide with us forever(John 14:16).

Acts2:1-4KJV:

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

When the holy Spirit came upon the believers, they were transformed, such that the same Peter who had denied Jesus before a maid and few men, was now bold to declare him before thousands, and three thousand souls were saved, what a transformation. This and much more will the Holy spirit do in us if we permit Him.

He is in us to do more than tongues, for tongues is not all that there is to him, he want to release great power in us that our testimony of Jesus might become more effective in changing lives. Take advantage of the
Holy Ghost baptism that you have in ministering to others, and continually get renewed, get fresh oil by staying in the place of intense prayer and meditation on God's word.

Acts 4:31KJV:
And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

This is not another filling but rather a stirring up of the anointing.
