DISCOVERING YOUR PURPOSE

DISCOVERING YOUR PURPOSE

Rom 8:28-30 MSG
(28)  That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.

(29)  God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him.

(30)  After God made that decision of what his children should be like, he followed it up by calling people by name. After he called them by name, he set them on a solid basis with himself. And then, after getting them established, he stayed with them to the end, gloriously completing what he had begun.

There are  a few pointers to the discovery of purpose.

1.    Childhood sayings
The spirits of children are alive unto God. Children have a connection to God. Little children have spiritual discernment. The question
is ‘When your spirit was alive to God as a child, what were those things you used to say you will become?

Rom 7:9 KJV
For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

This wasn’t a physical death, but it is indicating that he his spirit died when sin showed up. The implication is that the spirit was once alive.

2.    Possessive thoughts and imaginations

God sometimes birth our purpose through dominant thoughts and ideas that refused to go, especially those thoughts you had after you became born again.
Pay attention to those thoughts and don’t just discard them.

3.    Delights and desires

Not all delights and desires are of God. Because of sin, we have some desires that are not godly. In the life of a believer, there are two desires they experience. One is from God and one is from the flesh. But the ones from God can be a pointer to to God’s purpose for your life.

Psa 37:4 KJV
Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

God does not grant all desires however. It says to find delight in God first. To delight yourself in the Lord means to fellowship with him and spend time with him. When you spend time with God, his desires becomes your desires.

1Jn 5:1 KJV
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

Joh 15:7 KJV
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Prayers prayed in purpose have a guarantee of answers. All things will work together. He will turn your mistakes into miracles
